Great to meet you!

I have been in practice since 1982, in a variety of community mental health settings. I utilize a fair amount of humor in therapy, and I am very positively affirming. I do a lot work with coping skills for common issues, such as anxiety, depression, sleep issues, self esteem, relationship and Christian Spirituality. I often suggest "friendly challenges" to work on between sessions, that can help solidly gains made during our sessions together.

My approach to therapy

I believe each person's journey, growth challenges, and barriers to overcome and move forward from, are uniquely their own. I also believe we have inner strengths and awareness that we have not yet tapped into which can help us attain new perspectives, higher levels of functioning and an improved sense of well being.

What you can expect from me

A high level of acceptance and empathy, as well as specific questions and issues upon which to reflect further between sessions. Additionally brief homework assignments and/or techniques for practicing specific coping skills may also be suggested.
