Great to meet you!

Good therapy delves into both current, immediate stressors, and critical, deeper layers. Often the immediate, overwhelming issues - anxiety, panic, depression, dissociation, codependency, heartbreak, or relationship dynamics - are both new and old. Suffering can persist and repeat itself despite important insights and understandings. Where needed, I work with clients who want to look deeper, and make bold, lasting change.

Through empathy, warmth, honesty, and perseverance, early family dynamics, attachment wounds, traumas, or can shape and restrict us - hold us back, restrain us, and limit our sense of power, joy, freedom. Time and again, I've witnessed clients achieve real, awesome and lasting transformation. It's possible, and it's liberating!

I am a licensed psychologist in Hawaii, Colorado, and Florida, as well as a clinician and author with expertise in assessment, trauma, and transformative psychotherapy. My work integrates attachment science, neuroscience, Jungian and archetypal psychology, psychospiritual healing, polyvagal theory, and affective neuroscience to help clients better understand themselves and create meaningful, lasting breakthroughs. I've written a couple books - only as an effort to share what I've witnessed really work, really bring about healing. I hold two master’s degrees and a doctorate, and I have worked in major university and hospital settings with individuals, children, and families facing a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. My goal is to help you build clarity, unlock deeper capacities, and move toward the life you already know you need, want, and aspire to live.

My approach to therapy

My approach is deep, integrative, and highly individualized. I specialize in helping clients work through anxiety, panic, depression, trauma, dissociation, codependency, attachment wounds, and relationship issues by looking beneath the surface of symptoms and into the emotional patterns that keep suffering in place. Many of these patterns are rooted in early life experiences and reinforced over time through fear, loss, emotional disconnection, or intense relationships. Therapy with me is not just about symptom relief — it is about understanding what is driving those patterns and creating real change at the level where they began.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, we begin by exploring what is bringing you to therapy right now and what feels most painful, confusing, or stuck. You may be coming in because of anxiety, panic, depression, trauma, dissociation, relationship patterns, codependency, or a sense that something important in your life is not shifting despite your best efforts. We will talk about your current struggles, your history, and the patterns you have started to notice, while also making space for the deeper questions that may be pressing on you.

My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling understood, challenged in a useful way, and more clear about what may be happening beneath the surface. Therapy with me is collaborative, thoughtful, and focused on meaningful breakthroughs. From the beginning, I work to help you connect the dots between your emotional life, your relationships, your past, and your deeper aspirations so that the work feels not only insightful, but truly transformative.
