Great to meet you!

I am an expert in treating anxiety, trauma, alcohol and sleep problems. Trained at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Portland VA Healthcare System and dual residency at VA San Diego Healthcare System and UCSD. My emotion-focused expertise allows me to effectively improve relationships, no matter how complex. My warm, practical, realistic, and evidence-based teaching style puts clients at ease, while my non-judgmental and curious approach leaves them feeling hopeful after every session.

My approach to therapy

As an expert in anxiety disorders, I am also qualified to evaluate a range of commonly co-occurring mental health conditions. I prioritize teaching gold-standard interventions and deliver cutting-edge, impactful treatments with the highest standards. My aim is for clients to feel they are receiving the best possible care - one that identifies sources of hope and creates a practical plan to strengthen it.

What you can expect from me

Therapy begins by curiously investigating what is keeping them stuck, then developing a confident plan to get unstuck. Along the way, we incorporate structure through teaching, homework, challenging patterns, and using measurement-based care to reevaluate progress. Ultimately, my goal is to empower clients to become their own therapists.
