Great to meet you!

I am a Master’s-level Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist with experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds across a wide range of settings, including a children’s psychiatric hospital and a maximum-security state prison. My work has focused on assessment, treatment planning, and connecting clients with the care that best fits their needs, while also providing therapy through a variety of trauma-informed approaches.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I view individuals within the context of the larger relationships, systems, and environments that shape their lives. I understand that challenges such as anger, fear, sadness, and overwhelming thoughts or emotions can deeply affect a person’s ability to function and feel at peace. My goal is to help clients better understand their experiences, build on their strengths, and regain the ability to thrive in their environment. I am open to working with adolescents ages 13 and older.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is practical, supportive, and focused on helping clients move forward. People often seek therapy when life feels overwhelming or when they feel stuck, and I help them identify strengths, develop solutions, and take steps toward positive change. While it can be important to understand the roots of a problem, I also believe in focusing on what will help clients feel more grounded, capable, and back on track.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, I ask thoughtful questions to better understand the concerns bringing a client to therapy, how long the problem has been present, and any patterns of behavior that may be unintentionally maintaining it. My goal is to gain a clearer picture of the client’s experiences while creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space where they feel heard and understood. This helps us begin identifying goals and the most effective path forward.
