Great to meet you!

I am a bilingual clinical psychologist specializing in chronic pain management and the emotional challenges that often come with living in pain. Trained at The Chicago School, I bring 25 years of experience helping adults navigate chronic pain, anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and the ways physical symptoms can affect mood, relationships, and overall quality of life. I am fully bilingual in Spanish and English, and I strive to provide care that is compassionate, thoughtful, and culturally responsive. My goal is to help clients feel understood while learning practical ways to manage pain, reduce emotional suffering, and reconnect with the parts of life that matter most.

My approach to therapy

I listen because you are the expert on your own experience. My approach is collaborative, practical, and focused on helping you live a meaningful life even in the presence of chronic pain. I work with clients who are coping with chronic pain, anxiety, depression, stress, sleep disruption, grief related to physical limitations, and relationship issues that can emerge when pain changes daily life. Together, we focus on building practical coping skills, understanding the connection between thoughts, emotions, pain, and behavior, and reconnecting with your values. My goal is not only to reduce distress, but to help you move toward a more functional, fulfilling, and emotionally balanced life.

What you can expect from me

In our first few sessions, we will gather your medical and psychological history and identify the areas that need the most attention. We will talk about your relationship with your body, your pain, your emotional well-being, your social life, and the goals that feel most important to you right now. Whether you are struggling with chronic pain, anxiety, depression, stress, or the impact pain has had on your relationships and daily functioning, my goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and supported. Together, we will begin building a plan to improve your quality of life, strengthen coping strategies, and help you feel more in control, even in the presence of pain.
