Great to meet you!

You may be doing everything you can to keep moving forward while anxiety, depression, or painful experiences continue to follow you into everyday life. Perhaps your mind rarely slows down, you feel disconnected from yourself or the people around you, or past experiences still influence how safe and settled you feel today. I work with adults, seniors, adolescents, and children experiencing anxiety, maternal mental health concerns, relationship issues, trauma, and PTSD. These concerns can also overlap with stress, depression, grief or loss, women’s issues, identity concerns, or chronic conditions, especially when relationships, life changes, and emotional health begin affecting one another. Therapy can give you a place to slow down and understand what you are carrying without judgment or pressure to move faster than feels right. Together, we can make sense of what has been weighing on you, strengthen healthier ways of coping, and help you feel more grounded and connected to yourself.

My approach to therapy

Our work will make room for both what you are experiencing today and the relationships, responsibilities, emotions, and experiences that have shaped how you got here. We’ll explore how anxiety, maternal mental health concerns, relationship issues, trauma, and PTSD may be affecting your emotional wellbeing and ability to feel safe and connected in everyday life. I may use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you recognize patterns in thoughts and behaviors that contribute to distress and develop healthier ways of responding, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help you navigate difficult emotions while staying connected to your values, and Art Therapy to give you another way to explore experiences that may be difficult to express in words. I may also use Play Therapy when developmentally appropriate to help younger clients communicate and process emotions in a way that feels more natural to them. Our sessions will be collaborative, compassionate, and responsive to your individual needs, balancing deeper understanding with practical support for meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

You do not need to have the right words for everything you have experienced or know exactly where therapy should begin. During our first few sessions, we will take time to understand what brought you here, what has been most difficult, and what you hope will feel different. Together, we will create goals that feel meaningful and realistic and decide where it makes the most sense to start. You can expect me to bring warmth, encouragement, and genuine curiosity to our conversations while creating a space where difficult emotions, relationships, motherhood, and painful experiences can be explored without judgment. Progress may look like feeling less consumed by anxiety, feeling more supported through maternal mental health challenges, communicating more openly in your relationships, developing healthier ways of responding to difficult emotions, or feeling safer and less controlled by trauma from your past. We will continue checking in on your goals and shape our work around what helps you feel more grounded, supported, and confident moving forward.
