Great to meet you!

I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. My professional training allows me to assess, diagnose, and treat a range of mental health concerns through medication management, supportive interventions, and collaboration with other members of your care team. I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, attention and concentration difficulties, sleep concerns, and other psychiatric conditions. My goal is to create a respectful, safe space where you feel heard, understood, and actively involved in your treatment.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, individualized, and nonjudgmental. I take time to understand your symptoms, experiences, strengths, concerns, and treatment goals rather than focusing only on a diagnosis. Together, we will discuss available options, including potential benefits, risks, and alternatives, so you can make informed decisions about your care. When appropriate, I incorporate medication management, education, lifestyle considerations, supportive strategies, and coordination with therapists or other healthcare professionals. I also regularly evaluate progress and adjust the treatment plan based on your needs and preferences.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, I will invite you to share what brought you to care and what you hope to improve. We will review your current symptoms, psychiatric and medical history, medications, sleep, daily functioning, substance use, support system, and relevant life experiences. I strive to provide a calm, welcoming environment where you can speak openly and ask questions without feeling rushed or judged. By the end of the visit, we will discuss my initial assessment and develop a plan together, which may include medication, therapy recommendations, laboratory work, lifestyle strategies, or additional evaluation. Some diagnoses and treatment decisions may require more than one visit so that care remains thoughtful and thorough.
