Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Vittorio (Vitto) Roberti, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist and a professional clinical counselor. I have an extensive history in this field and have helped all sorts of people. I worked for 20 years in the male and female psychiatric security units in county jail. I have also worked extensively with troubled youth and state prison inmates as they transition back to society, and I also have extensive experience with Military/veterans and first responders, addressing both mental health and addiction issues while I worked at Veterans Village of San Diego.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I am fundamentally client-centered (Rogerian) and aim towards the resolution of the presenting problems while also focusing on the client getting the maximum and most productive self-actualization or personal growth possible. Like any good therapist, I use whatever the most appropriate interventions are to specifically address and resolve my client's needs, such as CBT, DBT, and ACT, to name just a few. An eclectic approach utilizing the necessary interventions allows me to customize the client's treatment to what they specifically need, and to avoid the all too common "cookie cutter" approach mistakes many large organizations and institutions default to.

What you can expect from our first session

I seek to motiate, energize and empower my clients. I want my clients to thrive, prosper, and be happy! There is no shame, there is no blame, and even with the darkest topics, I will still have my clients leave happier, smiling and sometimes even laughing!
