Vivian Akabueze

My name is Vivian Akabueze, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner-Board Certified, managing individuals of all ages with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, attention deficit hyperactive disorder, oppositional defiant, conduct disorder, Bipolar, schizophrenia, autism and intellectual disorder etc.

I focus on my patient's history, strengths, values, and beliefs to guide them live the life they hope to through active listening and adapting to their level of understanding.

My approach to providing mental healthcare involves patient engagement, holistic assessment, regular monitoring of medication effectiveness and side effects, and symptom changes for necessary treatment plan adjustment. I also collaborate with other healthcare providers for comprehensive support, to improve my patient's outcome; give them voice in their treatment decisions, and address their complex needs.

During sessions, there will be open communication and opportunity to ask questions. Patients will be involved in their goal setting so that they can participate in their treatment, make proactive choice to support their wellbeing, feel sense of accomplishment, and help improve their mood and self-confidence.
