Great to meet you!

I was born in Cuba, where I practiced as a medical doctor for over 12 years before coming to the United States. My journey in healthcare has always been driven by a deep commitment to helping others feel seen, heard, and healed. After immigrating, I continued my path in medicine by earning dual certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in both Family Medicine and Psychiatric Mental Health. I’ve been practicing in the U.S. since 2018, combining my global medical experience with culturally sensitive, evidence-based care.

As a bilingual provider, I understand the importance of feeling understood — both medically and personally — and I strive to create that connection with every client I serve.

My approach to therapy

My approach is rooted in empathy, cultural sensitivity, and clinical expertise. I believe in treating the whole person — not just symptoms — by understanding each client’s unique experiences, values, and goals. I combine psychiatric evaluation, thoughtful medication management, and supportive psychotherapy to provide care that is both personalized and evidence-based.

I view mental health treatment as a partnership. I take time to listen, educate, and collaborate with you, so you feel informed and empowered in every decision we make together. Whether we’re adjusting a treatment plan or exploring emotional patterns, my goal is to ensure you feel supported, seen, and respected every step of the way.

What you can expect from me

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based care. In our sessions, you can expect a safe, judgment-free space where your concerns are heard and respected. I work closely with you to understand not just your symptoms, but your story — helping you feel empowered in your mental health journey.

I integrate both medication management and supportive therapy to create a personalized treatment plan that fits your goals, lifestyle, and cultural values. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions, we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you.

My goal is for you to leave each session feeling more informed, more in control, and more hopeful about the path ahead.
