Great to meet you!

I am a therapist with a Latinx background and strongly believe we can benefit from a therapist during major life events to help us navigate the valleys of life. This can be major job change, divorce, reinventing ourselves, empty nest syndrome, and death of a loved one. All of these events change our identify a bit. They can bring up unresolved issues in our past. I am therapist that goes to therapy. I believe in the healing power and magic of safe spaces that allow US to be AUTHENTIC. I've been a therapist for the past 12 years and have accumulated experience working with folks who have experienced trauma, anxiety, infertility, bereavement, suicide, PNES, epilepsy, immigration and depression.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapys is to provide mindfulness and acceptance. It is to create a safe place to discuss challenges as well as celebrate triumphs and positive experiences. I want to learn more about you and help you identify maladaptive patterns of thinking and behavior so that you can decide what no longer serves you and make associated changes. I use an integrated approach of different treatment modalities including ACT, DBT, CBT and ancestral practices that inspire grounding and creativity

What you can expect from me

I would like clients to feel like an active participant in their therapy sessions with treatment goals, active work and feeling lighter with some resolution and accomplishment. I want clients to feel respected and validated in sessions. I expect clients to learn real concrete tools that can assist them in times of crisis so they can feel in control. I expect clients to be active participants in treatment and feel they have some kind of progress or change as sessions continue.
