Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Vivian, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with over 20 + years of experience. My journey in mental health has taken me through diverse multicultural populations, including living and working in remote areas. As a military veteran with overseas experience, I bring a unique perspective to my practice, understanding the complexities of military life and the challenges it brings.

I specialize in working with individuals facing a variety of concerns, including Depression, Anxiety, Trauma and Abuse, Grief and Loss, Phase of Life issues, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Military/Veteran support, Multicultural/Diversity issues, Psychosis/Schizophrenia, PTSD, Stress, and Trauma. My extensive experience allows me to tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each client.

My style of counseling is approachable and conversational. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is built upon honesty, non-judgmental respect, compassion, privacy, and sensitivity. Depending on your needs and personality,

A bit about my approach to therapy

I may incorporate various therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution Focused, Psychodynamic and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can expect a supportive and collaborative space where their experiences are honored with compassion and curiosity. My approach blends structured, evidence-based strategies like CBT with deeper insight-oriented work drawn from psychodynamic and trauma-informed frameworks. Whether we are exploring patterns from the past, navigating present challenges, or building future goals, sessions are designed to foster self-awareness, emotional regulation, and resilience.

Together, we will identify the areas you want to shift, whether it's managing mood, improving relationships, processing trauma, or strengthening self-worth. You’ll leave sessions with both practical tools and a deeper understanding of yourself—empowered to make meaningful, lasting changes at your own pace.

My aim is to provide a space where you feel seen, supported, and capable of creating the life you want, even when things feel uncertain or overwhelming.
