Great to meet you!

Welcome! My name is Vivian, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified School Counselor with a Master’s degree in Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I am passionate about walking alongside individuals as they navigate healing, growth, and self-discovery. My approach is rooted in person-centered therapy, creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you are the expert of your own life.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults, helping clients manage anxiety and stress, navigate life transitions, strengthen self-esteem, improve emotional regulation, and address family, relationship, academic, and career concerns. With a background in school counseling, I understand the unique challenges students and families face and offer practical tools to support academic success, peer relationships, and identity development. My goal is to help you feel heard, empowered, and supported as you move toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and client-centered. I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe, respected, and actively involved in the process. I strive to create a nonjudgmental space where you can openly explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace.

I primarily use a person-centered and cognitive-behavioral approach, helping clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, build emotional awareness, and develop practical coping skills that support lasting change. I tailor each session to your unique needs, goals, and life experiences rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and adults around anxiety, stress management, life transitions, self-esteem, emotional regulation, academic or career concerns, and relationship or family dynamics. My goal is to support you in gaining insight, confidence, and tools to navigate life more effectively.

What you can expect from me

You can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment where we focus on getting to know you and what brought you to therapy. We’ll discuss your concerns, goals, and what you hope to gain from counseling, while also reviewing confidentiality and what therapy will look like moving forward.

I take a collaborative approach, working with you to identify realistic goals and areas of focus that feel meaningful and achievable. The first session is not about having all the answers, it’s about building trust, understanding your experiences, and creating a plan that fits your needs.

My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, supported, and more confident about taking the next steps in your therapeutic journey.
