Great to meet you!

I have over 10 years experience working as a psychotherapist in a variety of settings including Community Mental Health Clinics, Crisis Stabilization/ Rehabilitation Units, Intensive Family Intervention Programs, Georgia Department of Corrections, Psychiatric Hospitals for Child and Adolescents and Adults. I got my undergraduates degree (Community Health) at Georgia Southern University and masters degree (Counseling and Psychology) at Troy University.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I take a nonjudgmental/reality approach. I like to to be open and honest with people because I like for people to be honest with me. I don’t pass judgment, that’s not my role. I believe in being fair and honest. I will utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Forgiveness Therapy, Mindfulness/ Relaxation/ Guided Imagery, Positive Psychology, Narrative Therapy, and skills to help deal with Disorders.

What you can expect from our first session

I enjoy working with clients that come into therapy expecting to gain insight about themselves in a nonjudgmental and confidential environment. Together, we will identify your challenges and goals - where you want your life to be a month, six months, a year from now. Then, we'll identify options and strategies you can use to get there. You'll leave the session with a better understanding of what you're facing with an "actions I can take right now" approach.
