Great to meet you!

If life events have left you feeling stressed, overwhelmed or exhausted, you are not alone and I am available to join you in addressing your concerns. My name is Wanda Finch (LICSW, LCSW, BCD, CAS), a Clinical Social Worker and recovery ally with over 20 years of experience delivering person-centered and recovery-oriented services to individuals and their families. My background includes supporting service members, veterans, and individuals in communities across urban, remote, residential, and emergency-response settings. My educational background includes a Master of Social Work, a Master of Education in Rehabilitation Counseling, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

My approach to therapy

My practice is rooted in a person-centered and recovery-oriented approach that empowers individuals to achieve optimal well-being. My clinical focus accepts the individual as the expert and prioritizes the individual’s inherent strengths, using an eclectic model that blends evidence-based interventions like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing with a compassionate, non-judgmental alliance.

What you can expect from me

In the first session we will create a safe place for our work together. We will also learn about your journey to tailor services to you and understand what specifically works for you. In every session, you will be met with kindness and unconditional acceptance. At times, you may feel our work is difficult but know you are not alone and you have an ally to assist in achieving your goals.
