Great to meet you!

Trauma can live quietly in the body—held in the breath, muscles, and nervous system. Individuals may experience intrusive memories (nightmares, flashbacks), avoidance (people, places and things), negative cognitions and mood (guilt, shame) and marked alterations in hyperarousal and reactivity (hypervigilance and sleep disturbance). These responses are protective patterns shaped by past experiences, not signs of weakness.

My approach to therapy

I have provided a safe haven for children, adolescents and adults diagnosed with posttraumatic stress disorder to process the remnants of abuse. In medical settings, nonprofit organizations, public and private education, and state and county government.

As a Dominican American, being bicultural, bilingual, and biliterate in Spanish allows me to honor my roots while bridging cultures. It is a privilege to pay that understanding forward by offering a welcoming space for monolingual Spanish-speaking immigrants.

What you can expect from me

With more than 15 years of experience in behavioral health I have had the privilege of serving diverse communities across New York City, Washington State, and California’s Central Coast. Each chapter has enriched my clinical perspective and deepened her commitment to compassionate, culturally responsive, trauma-informed care.

Life after trauma can leave you feeling lonely, overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain, while a gentle path toward healing remains possible. If you’re noticing even a whisper of "maybe" or a quiet yes within you, please reach out. I will be here.

"You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.” — C.S. Lewis
