Great to meet you!

Maybe you’re the person everyone depends on, but lately you’re exhausted, overwhelmed, or wondering who you can lean on. You may be grieving someone you love, dealing with a health condition or disability that has changed your everyday life, or feeling anxious or depressed while trying to keep everything else together. Perhaps family tension or relationship problems have you constantly frustrated, or anger comes out more strongly than you intend and leaves you regretting what you said afterward. I want to give you a place where you can be honest about what’s happening without feeling judged or pressured to have everything figured out. Together, we’ll work toward feeling more confident in yourself, more in control of your emotions, and better equipped to handle the challenges in front of you.

My approach to therapy

We’ll focus on what’s actually happening in your everyday life and identify the thoughts and reactions that may be making difficult situations even harder. That could mean learning how to quiet the anxious thoughts that keep you up at night, catching yourself before anger turns into an argument, setting boundaries with family without feeling guilty, or adjusting to changes in your health or abilities. Instead of automatically believing thoughts like “I can’t handle this” or “nothing is going to change,” we’ll learn to challenge them and develop a more realistic and compassionate way of looking at yourself and your situation. I’ll help you recognize what you can change, build on what’s already working, and take manageable steps toward the life and relationships you want.

What you can expect from me

You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what to say or where to begin. We’ll talk about what has been weighing on you lately, whether that’s losing someone you love, constantly worrying, feeling down, struggling with your health, arguing with your partner or family, or simply feeling overwhelmed by everything you’re carrying. I’ll want to understand how these challenges are affecting your relationships, work, health, and everyday life, as well as what you most want to change. By the end of our first conversation, my goal is for you to feel heard and to have a clearer idea of where we can start.
