my approach to my patients is a combination of supportive ,cognitive -behavioral and psychopharmocoligal medication management and use psychodynamic approach in selective patients as well
I do a detailed initial evaluation in. the first session gathering history of past and current psychiatric condition, as well as past treatments , relevant medical and psychosocial history and focussing mostly on current presenting problem as well as detailed mental status exam and providing patient a comprehensive recommendations for different modalities of treatments and referrals as clinically necessary as well as detail treatment plan to work on with the patients and involving family and other providers as necessary as per consent of patient in a confidential HPPA compliant medium including in person , Telehealth video and phone appointments
