Great to meet you!

I am Wayne Presutti, a dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), dedicated to helping individuals achieve better physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

With extensive clinical experience in primary care, psychiatric mental health, and infectious disease management, I bring a comprehensive understanding of how physical and mental health are connected. I am also the founder of Meso Healthcare, a practice established to improve access to compassionate, integrated healthcare on Chicago's South Side.

My educational background includes Governors State University and Northern Kentucky University. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals facing a wide range of medical, emotional, and behavioral health challenges.

I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, respected, and supported. My goal is to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable discussing your concerns, exploring your challenges, and working toward meaningful improvements in your quality of life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is compassionate, collaborative, holistic, and evidence-based. I believe that mental health cannot be separated from physical health, personal experiences, relationships, and the challenges of everyday life.

I take the time to understand each person as an individual rather than focusing solely on a diagnosis or symptoms. My approach incorporates supportive psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)-informed techniques, motivational interviewing, and practical coping strategies tailored to each client's unique needs.

I emphasize open communication, trust, and shared decision-making. Together, we identify concerns, establish realistic goals, recognize personal strengths, and develop strategies to manage anxiety, depression, stress, emotional difficulties, and life transitions.

When appropriate, I integrate psychiatric medication management with psychotherapy and consideration of physical health needs. My goal is not simply to help you manage symptoms, but to empower you with the tools, confidence, and understanding needed to achieve lasting emotional wellness and a healthier, more balanced life.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. My priority is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where you can speak openly and feel comfortable being yourself.

We will discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, relevant medical and mental health history, life experiences, relationships, and any challenges affecting your well-being. I will listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and work with you to understand your needs and what you hope to accomplish through treatment.

Together, we will begin identifying realistic treatment goals and exploring approaches that may help you feel better. Depending on your individual needs, we may discuss coping strategies, psychotherapy options, medication management, or additional healthcare support.

You do not need to have everything figured out before your first appointment. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional stress, relationship difficulties, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life, we will work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

My commitment is simple: to listen without judgment, provide compassionate and personalized care, and work alongside you toward meaningful, lasting improvements in your mental health and overall well-being.
