Great to meet you!

Regardless of what life challenges brought you here, I believe everyone already has what they need to heal and therapy is a process to let go of what no longer serves you and awaken your essence and wisdom within. In therapy, we will look at the journey you have walked and envision your future self. However, the power of healing and change resides in the present moment. We will ground our work together in the here and now. I can help build skills and find your own rhythm and flow that propels you forward with loving kindness and compassion.

In the past 10 years, I primarily worked with refugees and immigrants who were crime victims or have suffered complex trauma; prior to that, I worked with individuals with severe mental health conditions for 5 years.

I speak English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese.

“There is something down deep within all of us ready to help us survive the things we think we can’t survive.” ~ Tear Soup by Pat Schwiebert and Chuck Deklyen

My approach to therapy

As a licensed professional counselor, my approach is trauma-informed with cultural humility and I use evidence-based practices to facilitate healing and change. I am also trained in Eye-Moment Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

What you can expect from me

During the initial sessions, we will review relevant history and information and work collaboratively to identify goals and priorities. I encourage you to complete the intake documents to the fullest so that we can maximize our time together. Your goals and priorities will guide the direction of our work together. I am here to walk alongside you and to meet where you are.
