Great to meet you!

On the outside, you may seem capable, thoughtful, and like you're managing everything well. But inside, you feel anxious, overwhelmed, guilty, or exhausted from carrying so much. You may struggle with overthinking, perfectionism, people-pleasing, emotional eating, relationship stress, or feeling that no matter how hard you try, it is never enough. Many of my clients are women who are used to taking care of everyone else while ignoring their own needs. They often come to therapy feeling stuck, disconnected from themselves, or frustrated that they know what they ‘should’ do but still feel anxious, overwhelmed, and emotionally drained.

I earned my MSW from Boston College and am an LICSW with 17 years of experience working with women, teens, and young adults. My approach is warm, practical, and collaborative. I help clients better understand themselves, quiet the constant pressure they put on themselves, and make changes that feel realistic, manageable, and sustainable.

You do not have to keep carrying this all by yourself. Therapy can be a place to slow down, understand what is keeping you stuck, and begin to feel more like yourself again.

My approach to therapy

My approach tailored to each person. I help clients understand the patterns, experiences, and relationships that shape how they feel, while also focusing on practical ways to create change. Therapy with me is both reflective and active- we spend time making sense of what is going on, and we find ways to help you feel better, communicate more effectively, and move forward.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, we will talk about what is bringing you to therapy, what has been difficult lately, and what you hope might feel different. I will also ask some questions about your background, relationships, and any patterns you have noticed in yourself over time. My goal is not to put you on the spot or make you tell me more than you want to right away, but to begin getting a sense of who you are and what may be contributing to what you are experiencing. By the end of the session, you should have a clearer sense of whether I feel like a good fit and what working together might look like.
