Great to meet you!

Some experiences leave a lasting impact long after the moment has passed. Whether you're grieving the loss of someone you love, healing from trauma, navigating a major life transition, or simply feeling overwhelmed by anxiety or depression, you deserve a space where your story is heard with compassion and without judgment.

I'm Wendy, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with more than 26 years of experience helping children, adolescents, adults, and families navigate life's most difficult seasons. Throughout my career, I've worked with individuals coping with grief and loss, survivors of trauma and crime, students facing significant life challenges, and adults searching for hope after periods of pain and uncertainty. These experiences have strengthened my belief that healing is possible, even when it doesn't feel that way at first.

My goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment where you can process your experiences, rediscover your strengths, and begin creating a life that feels meaningful again.

My approach to therapy

I believe every person has the capacity for healing and growth. My role is not to tell you who to become, but to help you reconnect with the resilience and wisdom that already exist within you.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and person-centered, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, art therapy, and play therapy when appropriate. Together, we'll explore the challenges you're facing, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical tools that help you move forward with greater confidence and emotional balance.

Whether you're processing grief, recovering from trauma, adjusting to a new chapter of life, or working through anxiety or depression, therapy will be tailored to your unique experiences and goals.

What you can expect from me

Beginning therapy can feel vulnerable, but you don't have to have everything figured out before we start. Our first sessions will focus on understanding your story, identifying what's most important to you, and creating a plan that supports your healing.

Clients often describe my style as compassionate, thoughtful, and empowering. I strive to create an environment where you feel genuinely seen, respected, and supported while also helping you build practical skills that you can carry into your everyday life.

My hope is that you'll leave each session with greater clarity, renewed hope, and the confidence to continue moving toward the life you want to create.

Healing doesn't mean forgetting what you've been through. It means learning to carry your experiences in a way that no longer defines your future. If you're ready to take that next step, I'd be honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing, resilience, and growth.
