Great to meet you!

Hi! I’m Wendy. I have worked in mental health for the past 15 years and practiced as a licensed social worker since graduating from Rutgers with my Master’s in Social Work in 2013. I have worked in outpatient, intensive outpatient, residential and community outreach settings. I have had the opportunity to work with intellectual disabilities, mental health, addiction and co-occurring populations. I also have experience in day programs and supported employment.

My approach to therapy

I work from a strengths based and client centered framework. I believe that anyone can benefit from therapy and that the first step is finding the right therapist...if that’s me, I would love to work with you! I want to know who you are, what you’re going through, what type of support you need and what you want to achieve. I believe that therapy is a collaboration...together, we can develop a plan to help you start effecting positive change in your life.

What you can expect from me

In the initial session, we will do an intake so I can start to get to know you and your needs. In the next couple of sessions, we will identify what goals you want to work and then create a plan to help you get there. I will check in with you about your progress from time to time, and can make any needed adjustments along the way. I currently offer virtual sessions only, so we will be meeting on a Zoom-like platform rather than in person at this time.
