Great to meet you!

As an LCSW, I am a compassionate and dedicated professional who offers a warm, supportive environment where clients can feel secure when navigating sensitive and anxiety-provoking issues. With my extensive experience and genuine care for those I work with, I am committed to helping individuals address life's most challenging dilemmas in a safe space, fostering healing, understanding, and personal growth.

My focus

I work with a diverse clientele of all socio-economic levels, races, genders, and cultures. In my practice, I see adolescents, adults, individuals, and couples. I offer a very warm welcome to the LGBTQ community.

Individual counseling to address depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, grief and loss, trauma/PTSD, transitions in life, and self-esteem may be undertaken.

Relationship counseling that tackles serious issues by enhancing communication prevents future conflicts and builds on the strength of your relationship. Relationship challenges aren't' limited to married couples-counseling is beneficial for roommates, LGBTQ+ partners, cohabitating couples, siblings, and parents.

My approach to therapy

I offer an integrative or holistic approach to counseling combining various therapeutic modalities to address the unique needs of each client. This approach acknowledges that every individual is multifaceted, with emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual dimensions that influence their well-being. Typically, this is done by combining Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) within a holistic framework. Blending elements of CBT and SFBT with other therapeutic techniques, such as mindfulness, emotional regulation, or body-centering practices focuses on a client's specific needs.

What you can expect from me

I believe that goals should foster motivation, not overwhelm - they need to be recognizable and manageable. In collaboration with the client, using a person-centered approach, we will define specific, positive, and truly relatable goals that work for you. Goals should help you to move beyond your comfort zone in a manner that respects your beliefs and boundaries.

My first session with you

In the first telehealth therapy session, you can expect to start building a comfortable and trusting relationship while getting a sense of how we can work together - by introducing selves, discussing reasons for seeking therapy, building a connection to feel heard and understood, discussing of treatment methods, and review of confidentiality, etc. This session is about feeling comfortable with the process and creating a foundation for the therapeutic journey.
