Great to meet you!

If you’re looking for a therapist who is warm, welcoming, down-to-earth, and not afraid to laugh with you, we might be a great fit! Hi, my name is Wescendy ,"Scendy", I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I believe therapy should be a space where you can show up exactly as you are messy thoughts, random side stories, humor and all. I support adults experiencing anxiety, depression, burnout, workplace stress, caregiver stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, and concerns related to women’s health and emotional wellness. Together, we can unpack what’s weighing on you, make sense of what you’re feeling, and work toward a life that feels a little more like yours again.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and conversational. I want our sessions to feel like a safe place where you can exhale, be yourself, and talk without fear of judgment. I believe you are the expert on your own life, so rather than telling you what you “should” do, we’ll work together to understand patterns, explore what may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical tools that actually fit your life. I tailor my approach to each person, drawing from evidence-based techniques while also making room for humor, honesty, and real conversations. My focus is helping you better understand yourself, strengthen your coping skills, establish healthier boundaries, and create meaningful changes that feel realistic and sustainable.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is all about getting to know you. I’ll create a warm, relaxed, and judgment-free space where you can show up exactly as you are, whether you know exactly what you want to work on or your starting point is simply, “I know something needs to change.”

We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what life looks like for you right now, and what you hope will feel different as we work together. We’ll begin identifying your strengths, challenges, patterns, and goals, while also making sure that my approach feels like a good fit for you. There’s no pressure to share everything right away—we’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable while gradually creating realistic goals that are meaningful to you.

Most importantly, I want you to leave your first session feeling heard, understood, a little more hopeful, and confident that you don’t have to figure everything out alone.
