Great to meet you!

I have over 25 years experience working as a Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Addiction Counselor. I work daily in private practice with active duty military, veterans and their counselors at the VA. I work with a variety of issues including unresolved grief, anger & resentments, depression, anxiety, PTSD, self-harm behaviors, addictions, self-esteem, relationship issues, and LGTB issues. My passion is to assist individuals to work through their fears, insecurities and emotional pain. I am a Red Cross Disaster Relief Mental Health Counselor in my spare time.

I have experience working to improve parent-child relationship and problems in school including bullying behavior. I have experience working in varied setting ranging from group homes for children, college administration, to working with inmates facing the death penalty in jails or life without parole in prison.

I hold additional certifications in Critical Incident Debriefings, Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor and am a Clinical Member of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers, ATSA. I am on numerous EAP panels such as Empathia, Ceridian Life Works, CorpCare. I now take Medicaid, Ambetter (SC & GA) Amerigroup, Caresource and Peachstate.

What you can expect from me

I always start with an introductory session, where you’ll have the opportunity to share your story and what you hope to achieve in therapy. We’ll work together to figure this out! I strive to create a warm, welcoming environment that allows you to feel comfortable sharing and being vulnerable, while also feeling secure. From there, we’ll work together in the sessions that follow to make these goals a reality for you.
