Great to meet you!

I am a licensed Master Social Worker with over twenty-five years of experience in the Social Work field. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Master of Social Work. I have worked in many different aspects of the field, including as a School Social Worker. I began my career in the areas of child and family services, foster care, adoption, intensive family services, vocation, juvenile justice, schools, elder care, and individual, group and family therapy. In addition to being a licensed Clinical and Macro therapist, I am also a Certified Life Coach specializing in relationships. I am also a mother of two, and engaged to be remarried. So, I can relate to most of life's challenges regarding interpersonal relationships.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I believe that everyone is capable of self-improvement, but that it is also a choice. Anxiety also plays a role in people not reaching their fullest potential. I help with navigating the thoughts and feelings that lead to behaviors produced as a result of unaddressed anxiety. My passion is assisting in the areas of boundary setting within family, friendships, dating, marriage, divorce and coparenting relationships, and improving interpersonal skills, in general. I practice a person-centered, solution-focused approach. I offer unbiased support with an open-minded, non-judgmental and empathetic demeanor.

What you can expect from our first session

If you struggle with worry, fear, stress, overwhelm, sadness, conflict, loss, to name a few, I can offer the tools to assist you in tapping into skills and insight that you are not aware that you have, and managing your challenging relationships. My specialty is interpersonal relationship building, and I am passionate about helping you find peace.

There is no better time than the present to make a change, because prioritizing everyone else, in lieu of your own self-care, can cause long term negative, mental and physical health outcomes that can be avoided. I look forward to assisting you in establishing goals that meet your unique needs, as well as having the opportunity to be of service to you.
