Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with more than 17 years of experience providing counseling and support to children, adolescents, adults, older adults, and families. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of settings, including foster care, adoption, trauma-informed care, and crisis intervention, giving me experience helping individuals navigate complex life challenges and transitions.

I have had the privilege of working with people from diverse backgrounds, family structures, and life experiences. I believe that every person has unique strengths and the capacity for growth, healing, and resilience. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered, creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and valued.

Outside of being a therapist, I'm a proud mom of three who enjoys spending quality time with my family and pets. I'm an animal lover through and through, and you'll often find me enjoying time with my furry companions. I also love staying active and am always up for playing a competitive sport. These parts of my life remind me of the importance of connection, balance, laughter, and resilience. I bring that same authenticity and warmth into my work, creating a welcoming space where you can feel comfortable being yourself as we work together toward healing and growth.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered. I believe that each person is the expert on their own life and already possesses strengths that can be built upon to create meaningful change. My role is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, gain insight, and develop practical tools for healing and growth.

I use a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach, recognizing how past experiences can shape present challenges while honoring each client's resilience. I tailor therapy to each individual's unique needs, goals, and values because there is no one-size-fits-all path to healing.

Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship concerns, or family challenges, I work alongside you to foster self-awareness, strengthen coping skills, and build confidence. My goal is to empower you to better understand yourself, embrace your strengths, and create lasting, positive change that supports your overall well-being.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my priority is getting to know you and creating a space where you feel comfortable, heard, and respected. Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, so we'll move at a pace that feels right for you.

We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, the challenges you're currently facing, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I'll ask questions about your personal history, relationships, and strengths to better understand your experiences, but you are always in control of what you choose to share.

This session is also an opportunity for you to get to know me, ask questions, and determine whether we're a good fit. Together, we'll begin identifying your goals and develop a plan that supports your unique needs and values.

My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful, with a clearer understanding of how we can work together to help you build on your strengths, navigate life's challenges, and move toward healing and lasting growth.
