Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Whitney.

Life has a way of shaping us through experiences we never asked for. Sometimes those experiences leave us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, anxious, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve us. My goal is to create a supportive space where you don’t have to carry those burdens alone.

I work with adolescents and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, emotional regulation, relationship challenges, and the lasting impact of difficult childhood experiences. My experience supporting youth and families through foster care, adoption, family conflict, behavioral challenges, and complex trauma has shaped my understanding of resilience and how our past can influence the way we think, feel, and connect with others.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I don’t believe therapy is about “fixing” you. It’s about understanding your story, recognizing your strengths, and developing practical tools to help you move forward. Together, we’ll identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, process difficult experiences at a pace that feels safe, and build healthier ways of coping, communicating, and caring for yourself.

I draw from evidence-based approaches including CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and strengths-based and person-centered practices, tailoring therapy to your individual needs.

Whether you’re navigating burnout, anxiety, family stress, grief, trauma, or you’ve spent so much time being strong for everyone else that you’ve lost touch with yourself, there is space for you here.

At Well Within Collective, healing means honoring every thread of your story while creating room for what comes next. I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, trauma-informed, and person-centered. I believe clients are the experts on their own experiences, and my role is to create a safe, supportive space where you can better understand yourself, recognize patterns, and develop tools that support meaningful change.

I take a strengths-based approach while integrating evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), motivational interviewing, mindfulness, psychoeducation, and solution-focused interventions. I also recognize that our experiences, relationships, environments, and identities can shape how we understand ourselves and move through the world.

Therapy with me is not about simply asking, “What’s wrong?” We’ll also explore, “What happened, what helped you survive it, and what do you need now?” Together, we’ll connect the dots between past experiences and present patterns while building practical skills for emotional regulation, healthier relationships, boundaries, communication, and coping.

Most importantly, I meet clients where they are. Healing doesn’t have to follow a perfect timeline, and therapy doesn’t have to feel clinical or intimidating. I want our sessions to feel like a space where you can show up authentically, feel heard and challenged when needed, and leave with greater insight, practical tools, and hope for what comes next.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about creating a space where you feel comfortable, heard, and supported. We’ll spend time getting to know one another, discussing what brought you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope will be different. I’ll ask questions to better understand your story, strengths, relationships, and current challenges, but there’s no pressure to share everything at once.

We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Together, we’ll begin identifying your goals for therapy and what support might be most helpful. You can also ask questions and get a feel for my approach. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, hopeful, and confident that we have a clear starting point for the work ahead.
