Great to meet you!

If you are tired of feeling angry, lonely, or misunderstood in your relationships, you do not have to figure it out alone. For the past two decades, my work as a Marriage and Family Therapist has been dedicated to helping individuals and couples build bridges to reach each other. I earned my Master of Science from California State University, Sacramento, and my clinical experience includes working with a diverse population facing a wide range of challenges—whether with spouses, partners, family members, or colleagues at work. I specialize in treating posttraumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, substance abuse recovery, life transitions, codependency, and grief. It is a profound honor to invite you into a safe, grounding space where you can begin to unpack these burdens. My priority is to help you establish a secure and empowering foundation so you can step out of the cycle of frustration and start taking active steps toward healing.

My approach to therapy

I believe that meaningful emotional growth requires both a genuine, trusting bond and highly effective clinical tools. When working with couples, I heavily utilize Emotion Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method to help partners create a secure, loving bond, stop the "blame game," and learn to talk about thoughts and feelings without fear of being hurt or judged. My goal is to help you improve communication, increase intimacy, and learn to accept each other—warts and all. For individuals navigating the heavy impact of trauma, I specialize in the treatment of PTSD and am Certified in Brainspotting, while also incorporating EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. By blending these targeted modalities, we will work collaboratively to help you set appropriate boundaries, stop passive-aggressive behaviors, and become confidently assertive in all your relationships.

What you can expect from me

Entering therapy can feel intimidating, especially when your daily life feels overwhelmingly stressful. I want our first session to be a calm, welcoming hour where you can simply exhale and step away from the outside noise. We will go at a natural, comfortable pace as we discuss the history of your struggles and what initially brought you to therapy. There is never any pressure to dive into your deepest wounds immediately; instead, I focus on creating a non-judgmental environment where we can safely explore your symptoms and identify your client-centered goals. You will leave our initial meeting with a clear, collaborative understanding of how we will move forward to help you feel safe and connected again.
