Great to meet you!

Hola, and welcome! I’m Camila and I’m originally from Medellín, Colombia, and grew up in Miami so I’m bilingual in English and Spanish, and I welcome conversations about how culture, values, and faith shape your experience.

I work with individuals, couples, and young adults who are carrying anxiety, depression, trauma, big life changes, or relationships that feel tangled. I also help with self-esteem, confidence communication, and anger that feels bigger than you'd like. I especially enjoy supporting young adults and people looking for a thoughtful, holistic approach to their mental and emotional well-being.

Some people come to me tired of holding it all together. Others just want someone who will really listen. Either way, you don't have to have it figured out. Starting therapy can feel like a big step. I’ll meet you with warmth, curiosity, and respect for your experiences, culture, values, and beliefs. Together, we can make sense of what has been feeling difficult and identify changes that feel meaningful to you. Come as you are.

My approach to therapy

My style is empathetic, supportive, and practical. I'll listen closely, and I'll also gently point out patterns when it might help you grow. I use CBT, which simply means we notice how your thoughts, feelings, and actions affect each other, then try new ways of responding. We might work on coping with anxiety or low mood, setting boundaries, communicating more clearly, managing strong emotions, building self-confidence, or working through conflict in a relationship.

Therapy is collaborative, so we’ll shape our work around your goals and what feels useful to you. I’ll offer practical tools and encourage you to try them between sessions when that makes sense. I also believe growth can include gentle challenges: I’ll support you while helping you notice patterns and consider new ways forward. I'm a Christian, and if faith matters to you, I'm glad to bring it into our work. If it doesn't, that's completely okay too. Your culture, your values, and your story are always part of how I care for you.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance for me to learn about you, what brings you to therapy, and what you hope might change. We’ll talk about your concerns and background, then begin identifying goals together.

I care about the whole you: your mind, your body, and your heart. That's why I bring my background in integrative nutrition health coaching into how I see wellness. Together we might work on boundaries, speaking up for yourself, calming big emotions, or talking with the people you love in a way that actually lands. I may offer small, doable steps to try between sessions, so the changes show up in your real life.

A little about me:

Outside of work, I’m married and share life with three big dogs. I love cooking for the people I care about, spending time in nature with my family, and unwinding with a suspenseful show on Netflix. Cooking is one of the ways I express creativity and show people I love them, so there’s a good chance I’ll have a show recommendation or a favorite recipe to talk about, too.
