Great to meet you!

If you've noticed that it feels like negative thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations are taking up excessive space in your life and that endless attempts to try to get rid of, get away from, or control these are not working for you and pulling you away from what is important to you in life, there may be a better way. What if, instead, it is natural for us, as humans, to experience the full range of emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations and where we get stuck in suffering is in trying get rid of these experiences?

My approach to therapy

That is where therapy may be helpful. I specialize in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). ACT focuses on stepping out of the struggle with our experience and getting back in touch with the present moment, approaching experience with willingness rather than avoidance, and moving towards what is important to us rather than away from unpleasant experience.

What you can expect from me

If you are looking for a way to change how you relate to what shows up for you, to reconnect with or discover what is important to you in life, to develop the capacity for being present and engaged in a meaningful life, we may be able to work together to move towards this.
