Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than a decade of experience helping adolescents and adults better understand themselves, strengthen their relationships, and navigate the pressures that come with family, identity, culture, and everyday life. I have a particular passion for working with men and adolescents of color, especially those who may not always feel like they have a space to talk openly about what they’re carrying. Whether you’re dealing with relationship challenges, stress, anger, trauma, identity concerns, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself or others, you don’t have to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. My goal is to offer a space where you can be honest, feel understood, and do meaningful work toward the person and relationships you want to build.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is relational, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity. I work to create a space where you can be honest about what you’re experiencing while also feeling supported and appropriately challenged to look beneath the surface, recognize patterns, and consider what may need to change. Together, we’ll explore how your experiences, relationships, identity, culture, and environment have shaped the way you think, feel, communicate, and connect with others. From there, we can identify practical ways to interrupt patterns that may no longer be serving you and build healthier ones. My style is warm and supportive, but also direct and intentional. My goal is to help you develop greater self-awareness, strengthen your relationships, and make meaningful changes that extend beyond the therapy room.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. You don’t need to have the right words or know exactly what you want to work on. We’ll start where you are. I’ll ask questions about what you’ve been experiencing, the relationships and experiences that have shaped you, and what you hope might be different. We’ll begin identifying patterns, strengths, and areas where you may feel stuck while developing a shared understanding of what you’d like to change or strengthen. Just as importantly, this is your opportunity to get a sense of whether I feel like the right therapist for you. A strong therapeutic relationship matters, and I welcome your questions about me, my approach, and what you can expect from our work together.
