Great to meet you!

With more than 40 years of experience supporting individuals and families affected by substance use disorders, I bring deep compassion, patience, and dedication to the therapeutic process. I understand that seeking help can feel difficult, and I strive to create a welcoming space where you can be honest about your experiences without fear of judgment.

I believe every person has strengths, potential, and the capacity for growth. Recovery is possible, and you do not have to navigate the process alone. Whether you are seeking support for yourself or a loved one, I am here to offer guidance, encouragement, and understanding.

My approach to therapy

My approach is eclectic, person-centered, and tailored to each client’s individual needs. I believe therapy should meet you where you are while honoring your experiences, values, goals, and readiness for change.

My work is grounded in the understanding that substance use disorders are brain-based conditions—not moral failings or character flaws. I work with individuals, families, and groups to build insight, strengthen relationships, develop healthier coping strategies, and support meaningful, lasting recovery.

What you can expect from me

Your first session will be a warm, supportive opportunity to begin feeling comfortable and share what brings you to therapy. We’ll discuss your current concerns, personal history, strengths, support system, and hopes for treatment.

You will not be expected to have everything figured out or to share more than you are ready to discuss. Together, we’ll begin identifying meaningful goals and determining how therapy can best support you. My hope is that you leave your first session feeling heard, respected, and encouraged about the possibility of change.
