William Jakini

Hello, I'm William Jakini, a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and founder of Aurora Mental Health Services. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related symptoms, PTSD, insomnia, and other mental health concerns. My background in psychiatric care has taught me that every person's story is different, and effective treatment starts with understanding the individual behind the symptoms. I strive to create a supportive, respectful environment where clients feel comfortable discussing their concerns and working toward meaningful improvement.

My approach is collaborative, practical, and tailored to each client's unique needs and goals. I take time to understand the factors contributing to your symptoms rather than focusing solely on a diagnosis or medication. When appropriate, I incorporate medication management alongside education and supportive strategies to help clients better understand and manage their mental health. I believe treatment works best when clients feel informed, involved, and empowered throughout the process.

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and develop a clear understanding of what brings you to treatment. We'll discuss your current concerns, relevant history, and how symptoms are affecting your daily life, relationships, work, or overall well-being. Together, we'll identify treatment goals and review recommendations that may help you move forward. My goal is for you to leave the appointment feeling heard, supported, and with a clear plan for next steps.
