Great to meet you!

Many of the people I work with are navigating life transitions, family stress, or the emotional weight of raising a child with additional learning or behavioral needs. Over 42 years as a social worker — including nearly 30 years in adoption and child protective services and 12 years as a school social worker supporting students with IEPs — I've worked with children, teens, and adults across a huge range of backgrounds and circumstances. I've also supervised clinicians and led diagnostic and therapy work at a DC community mental health agency, so I bring a depth of experience most providers are still building toward.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, direct, and shaped by decades of sitting with people through hard moments — crisis intervention, family conflict, grief, and everything in between. I believe therapy works best when it feels human, not clinical, and clients tell me they feel genuinely heard in our sessions. I'm especially drawn to supporting families managing a child's learning disability, behavioral challenges, or special needs, alongside general adult and family therapy.

What you can expect from me

If you've been unsure about reaching out, please don't let that hesitation hold you back — you deserve support, whatever you're carrying. I'm currently building my caseload and would be honored to work with you
