Great to meet you!

Welcome!

As a clinical social worker, I know mental health care is a critical part of building a fulfilling life. It can feel really vulnerable taking the first step towards this work but I firmly believe asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Throughout my career I have worked with people navigating challenging stressors from a traumatic event to adjusting to a new job. I continue to focus on adults working through these experiences and difficulties managing symptoms of anxiety and depression.

My approach to therapy

I have training in several evidence based therapies. But the treatment has to fit the person, not the other way around. If you work with me, my primary focus will be on what you want to accomplish in your therapeutic work. Once that is clear my approach is focused on helping you achieve relief, build resiliency, and grown in your values and goals.

What you can expect from me

The first session is about getting to know each other and identifying your goals for treatment. It’s conversational but I’ll guide the discussion with some questions about you, your experiences, and your relationships. And if you’re not ready to share something with me, that’s OK! It can take time to build trust.
