Great to meet you!

I am a Nationally Certified and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I hold a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from University of Idaho. I am a life-long resident of beautiful North Idaho and I've worked in community mental health and private practice with all sorts of clients since graduating school in 2021.

A bit about my approach to therapy

As a counselor, I use a therapeutic approach called Rogerian Person-Centered Therapy. This approach starts with the assumption that you, the client, are the foremost expert on your life and your mental health needs. My practice combines trauma-informed, evidenced-based modalities with compassion for people from all walks of life.

What you can expect from our first session

In its simplest form, a counseling session is a private conversation between you and me about what's going in your life or whatever is on your mind. I am a firm advocate of counseling by choice, meaning that you have to be in counseling voluntarily and actively engaged for it to be effective. If you have been struggling with your mental health or with a problem that seems unanswerable, let's talk about it. There are never guarantees in my line of work, but don't underestimate how great it can feel to be heard.
