Great to meet you!

I believe therapy should be a place where you feel heard, respected, and supported while also being challenged to grow. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families across a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, stress, and emotional regulation. My background includes work in both school and inpatient mental health settings, giving me experience supporting individuals through everyday challenges as well as significant periods of crisis. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling and have additional training in EMDR, trauma-informed care, and nutritional mental health. I am passionate about helping clients better understand themselves, recognize patterns that may be keeping them stuck, and develop practical tools that create meaningful and lasting change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, practical, and individualized because I do not believe therapy should look exactly the same for everyone. I draw from CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, person-centered therapy, reality therapy, EMDR-informed strategies, and trauma-informed care based on each client’s needs and goals. I want clients to feel comfortable being themselves while also knowing that I will respectfully challenge them when needed. Rather than simply talking about what is wrong, we work together to understand the patterns, experiences, thoughts, behaviors, and circumstances contributing to what you are experiencing and identify realistic ways to move forward. I also value a whole-person perspective and recognize the important connections between mental, emotional, relational, and physical well-being.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is about getting to know you—not trying to solve everything in one appointment. We will talk about what brought you to therapy, what has been happening in your life, what you feel is working well, where you are struggling, and what you would like to be different. I strive to create a relaxed, judgment-free environment where you can be honest without feeling pressured to share more than you are ready to discuss. Together, we will begin identifying your goals and developing a direction for therapy that feels realistic and meaningful to you. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and hopeful that we have a clear path forward.
