Great to meet you!

I have a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental health Counseling, (May 2023) and a Masters Degree in Psychology (Dec 2018). Both from Houston Baptist University.

I served in the U.S. Army as a 15X10 from 2000 - 2008 with a combat tour in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2004 -2005.

My approach to therapy

I became interested in counseling after observing veterans and how they interacted with other veterans compared to the general public and even their own families. I noticed that many veterans were more able to open up and process the traumas they had experienced with another veteran than with a non-veteran. Thus to help those who are willing to give it all I felt I needed to be trained so that I could help these warriors find healing and the life the had fought so very hard for.

What you can expect from me

When viewing a person I seek to understand not just where they are now, but where they came from and how the journey has effected them both for good and for ill. A person is more than just the sum of their parts and exists in a complex tapestry which is their life. where the effects of one thing effect everything else.

For recreation I enjoy puzzles, online gaming (MMORPG's), painting and building models, A fine cigar from time to time.
