Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Kentucky, working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, and substance use. I know reaching out for therapy takes real courage, and my goal is to make our first conversation feel grounded and easy. When I'm not in session I'm usually writing, hiking, or keeping up with my grandkids — I believe therapy works best when it feels like a genuine human conversation, not a script. If you're looking for a warm, non-judgmental space to work through what's weighing on you.

My approach to therapy

My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in your existing strengths. I draw primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and for clients working through trauma or substance use I also incorporate Seeking Safety and Gestalt techniques. I tailor each session to what you actually need — some weeks that's skill-building, others it's just having someone listen without judgment.

What you can expect from me

In our first session we'll talk about what brought you in and what you're hoping to get out of therapy — no pressure, and no homework on day one. Over time I may offer tools like mindfulness journaling (optional, never required), and I use structured measures like the PHQ-9 to track progress objectively. Expect a warm, non-judgmental space where you can show up as yourself. If you're ready to take a first step, I'd love to hear from you."
