Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Dr. Bill Spears, PhD, LPC. I've been a psychotherapist for over 40 years. If it's happened, I've heard it 4 times. I've taught in the psychology departments at USM and LSU. I also have a doctorate from a seminary, so I speak the languages of psychology and faith.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy begins with my own health. I approach counseling as a wounded healer. No judgment. You need sound clinical judgment and wisdom that come from many years of study and practice.

What you can expect from me

The session is about you. I want to hear your story. I want a therapeutic relationship with you that is trustworthy, safe, and professional. Therapy is a respectful, honest, and informative conversation.
