Great to meet you!

I am a dually board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a Master of Science in Nursing from East Tennessee State University. My background spans both primary care and mental health, which gives me a unique perspective on how physical and emotional well-being are deeply connected. I have spent my career working in hospital and healthcare settings, and I bring that hands-on clinical experience into every interaction with my patients. I am also trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and have experience in healthcare management and nursing education — all of which inform the thorough, evidence-based care I provide.

My approach to therapy

I believe that the best care treats the whole person, not just a diagnosis. Because I am trained in both family medicine and psychiatric mental health, I am able to look at my clients through a wide lens — considering how physical health, lifestyle, and mental well-being all influence one another. I take a collaborative approach, working alongside my clients to understand their goals and develop a treatment plan that is realistic and personalized. I draw on established clinical guidelines while remaining flexible and responsive to each individual's unique needs and circumstances.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a warm, thorough, and judgment-free conversation. I will take the time to understand your history, your concerns, and what you are hoping to achieve from our work together. I'll ask questions about your mental health, your physical health, and your life circumstances, because I believe all of these factors matter. By the end of our first visit, my goal is for you to feel heard and to have a clear sense of next steps — whether that involves medication management, therapy referrals, lifestyle guidance, or a combination of approaches.
