Great to meet you!

Willie A. Stewart, LCSW, LCADC, CDVC, is a veteran of Operation Desert Storm whose commitment to service first emerged in the Marine Corps. Following honorable discharge, he earned a BSW and MSW from UNLV and achieved licensure as a Clinical Social Worker and Alcohol & Drug Counselor, as well as certification in Domestic Violence Counseling. Driven by continual professional growth and community dedication, Mr. Stewart founded W.A.S. Therapy and Wellness—anchored by the principle of “Willingly Achieve Success”—to provide trauma-informed, solution-focused care. His extensive clinical experience spans social work, mental health, family, relationship, military veterans, addiction treatment, and domestic violence intervention, equipping him to guide clients toward sustainable wellness.

My approach to therapy

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), and Certified Domestic Violence Counselor (CDVC) with over two decades of experience, I bring a deeply integrative, trauma-informed, and client-centered approach to therapy. My clinical work is grounded in a belief that every individual possesses the internal capacity for healing, growth, and transformation—given the right support, structure, and guidance. Over the past 20 years, I have specialized in the assessment and treatment of severe mental illnesses, substance use disorders, domestic violence, and complex family and relationship dynamics. I have worked extensively with individuals, couples, and families from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds—helping them confront patterns of dysfunction, rebuild healthy relational frameworks, and achieve long-term behavioral and emotional stability.

Through the lens of the “Eight Dimensions of Wellness,” which I have integrated into my W.A.S. Therapy and Wellness framework, I focus not only on symptom reduction, but on helping clients build sustainable, meaningful lives. Whether addressing persistent anxiety, mood dysregulation, interpersonal trauma, addiction, or family conflict, I emphasize empowerment, self-awareness, accountability, and resilience. My therapeutic style is collaborative, affirming, and results-driven. I strive to create a space where clients feel heard, challenged, and supported as they work toward emotional balance, personal clarity, and relational healing.

What you can expect from me

At W.A.S. Therapy and Wellness, clients can expect a safe, structured, and empowering therapeutic experience that is deeply rooted in over 20 years of clinical expertise and compassionate care. My sessions are collaborative, goal-oriented, and personalized—designed to help each individual recognize their own strengths, break through internal barriers, and begin living a more intentional, fulfilling life.
