Great to meet you!

As a affirming and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor, I support children, teens, and young adults in a warm and judgment-free space. I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, stress, behavioral and anger concerns, trauma, PTSD, bullying, relationship and family challenges, and school or social difficulties. I have a special interest in supporting youth and young adults of color. As a parent, I understand how challenging it can be when your child is struggling, and I’m here to support your family.

My approach to therapy

I tailor therapy to each person’s unique needs, strengths, and goals. My primary modality is Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), complemented by CBT, behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and Gestalt techniques. Together, we’ll build practical skills, make meaningful progress, and work toward success in therapy.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other, talk about what brought you here, and discuss what you’d like to achieve. You don’t need to have all the answers or know exactly what to say. We’ll discuss what’s on your mind, your experiences, your strengths, and what has or hasn’t helped before. If you’re a parent, we’ll also talk about your child’s needs, concerns, and goals for therapy. Most importantly, this first meeting helps us see if we’re a good match. I want you to leave feeling listened to and understood, and to have a better idea of what the next steps might be.
