Great to meet you!

I am licensed in Missouri with 10+ years of professional work experience and 3 years of clinical work with adults with both moderate and significant mental illness. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, depression, parenting issues, motivation, self esteem, and confidence. I believe that everyone experiences life in their own unique way and that helping requires respect, sensitivity, and compassion.

My approach to therapy

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Psychoeducation, but can adjust based on client needs. I have clients consider their thinking patterns to identify "thought traps" so they can address maladaptive thoughts. This, combined with identifying values and the ways they play into our lives allows for in depth self reflection.

What you can expect from me

I work with clients in setting goals with achievable and measurable progress and to find the right form treatment. I believe most of the work occurs between sessions when clients can apply strategies or perspectives we discuss. I also like to use videos, worksheets, and exercises between sessions to reinforce the therapeutic process.
