Great to meet you!

Hello! My name is Wisteria (they/them), and I enjoy working with individuals across the lifespan. I am passionate about supporting people as they integrate and heal from trauma and work through the many ways it can show up, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other challenges.

As a member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, I am particularly passionate about working with queer youth and marginalized communities. I also have experience supporting people who are grieving, navigating parenting, and moving through significant life transitions. I feel privileged to do this work and to support others in discovering and nurturing their own capacity for healing and growth.

When I’m not in my therapist role, I love learning and exploring my mind, body, and spirit. Some of my other identities include artist, naturalist, mystic, and ecstatic dancer. You’ll also find me spending time with my loved ones and cuddling with my four cats.

My approach to therapy

I bring a warm, playful, and compassionate energy to my work. All of your parts are welcome here. My approach is trauma-informed, feminist, and collaborative. I hope to support you in resolving traumas while building skills to regulate your nervous system, improve relationships with self and others, and create the life you want to live. I use my training in IFS Level 1, EMDR, and DBT skills, but I like to blend a variety of therapeutic modalities to best meet your unique needs, identities, and goals.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will begin with informed consent and time to address any questions you have about starting therapy with me. We will then transition into a comprehensive assessment. Although the first session is not like a typical one, this is an opportunity for you to feel me out and get a sense for how we might work together. As we start to build our relationship, my goal for the first session is to begin building a picture of what has contributed to you being you and your desire to enter therapy at this time. We will take the information gathered in the first session to establish your current goals, which will be our north star throughout treatment. If it feels like we might be a good fit, please reach out. I look forward to meeting you and connecting further!
