Wytika Beard

Hello, and welcome.

I am Wytika Beard, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) in Louisiana with more than 25 years of experience in education, counseling, student development, and emotional wellness. My professional background includes extensive experience as a school counselor and educational leader, where I worked closely with individuals facing personal, academic, emotional, and social concerns. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to helping others discover their strengths, overcome obstacles, and achieve meaningful growth. My passion lies in helping clients strengthen their resilience, increase self-confidence, enhance emotional wellness, and develop healthy coping strategies that promote lasting well-being.

I earned a Master of Arts in Counseling from Southern University, a Master of Education in Administration from Southern University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Southern University and A&M College. In addition to my LPC licensure, I am also a National Board Certified Counselor.

I believe effective counseling begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, empathy, and respect. My approach is collaborative and client-centered, recognizing that each individual's experiences, strengths, and goals are unique. Together, we will identify practical strategies and meaningful solutions that promote lasting positive change.

During the first session, we'll focus on getting to know each other and establishing a foundation for our work together. We'll discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, current challenges, and what you hope to achieve. I'll ask questions about your background to gain a comprehensive understanding.
