Great to meet you!

Hi! I’m Xanic (pronounced sha-neek), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families through some of life’s most difficult and transformative moments.

I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, suicidality, and the emotional challenges that can come with major life transitions. I have particular experience working with clients who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected from themselves, or unsure how to move forward despite having tried to manage things on their own.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked in outpatient and intensive mental health settings, including supporting individuals and families experiencing significant trauma and emotional distress. While I bring extensive clinical experience to my work, I believe the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of effective therapy. You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting—we can begin exactly where you are.

If you’re ready to better understand yourself, heal from past experiences, strengthen your relationships, or simply feel more like yourself again, I’d be honored to work with you.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, genuine, and collaborative. I believe therapy should feel like a safe space where you can be completely yourself without judgment, while also providing the structure and tools needed to create meaningful change. Together, we’ll work to understand where your struggles come from, identify patterns that may be holding you back, build on your strengths, and develop practical strategies that fit your actual life.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you—what brings you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you’re hoping to gain from our work together. We’ll talk about your goals, answer any questions you may have, and begin getting a sense of what support would be most helpful for you.

Most importantly, your first session is an opportunity for you to get a feel for my approach and decide whether I’m the right fit for you. Finding a therapist you feel comfortable with and connected to is an important part of the process, and I want you to feel that you’re in a space where you can be open, understood, and supported.
