Great to meet you!

I'm Xaviera "X" — a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), and Domestic Violence Clinical Supervisor(DVCS) based in Pueblo, Colorado. I'm 40 minutes from Colorado Springs, CO. I've been doing this work for over a decade, and I've built my practice around the people who often get overlooked: those dealing with trauma and addiction, men navigating mental health, first responders, unhealthy relationships, LGBTQ+ individuals, and anyone who's had bad experiences with therapists who felt too clinical, too cold, or just didn't get it.

I offer individual therapy in-person in Pueblo and virtually across Colorado. I accept Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Carelon, and Cigna. Sessions start at $150, with a sliding scale available — because I believe therapy should be affordable.

My approach to therapy

I'll be direct with you: I'm not a passive therapist. I'm firm, I'm fair, and I will hold you accountable — but in a way that feels respectful, warm and safe. I use CBT, trauma-focused approaches, motivational interviewing, and strength-based therapy. My style is also genuinely fun. Sessions with me are open and comfortable. I want you to actually look forward to showing up.

What you can expect from me

The first session is about getting to know each other. I'll ask what brought you in, what you've been dealing with, and what you're hoping to get out of this. I'll also tell you how I work and what you can expect from me — so there are no surprises.

I'll be honest about what I'm noticing from the jump. By the end of our first session, we'll have a clear sense of your goals and whether working together makes sense. Most people leave feeling like they finally talked to someone who understood what they were actually going through — not just the symptom checklist version of it.
